We find the business before we build the product.
We don’t start by asking what you want us to build. We start by asking whether there is a business worth building.
You have an idea, an invention, a character, a service or an early business. We find out whether there is a company around it, and what it would take to create one.
You run a business and want a new product, division, revenue stream or platform. We shape it, test it and take it to market with you.
We ask the same seven questions about every idea, in this order. Sometimes the answer is no. We would rather tell you that now than after you have spent the money.
We learn the idea, the customer and what it may require.
What we heard, a rough range and the path we recommend.
The business, the product and the story, defined.
Pay to Build, Build for Equity, Joint Venture, or not yet.
Define it visually first. Price the build second.
The Blueprint turns an idea into something that can be evaluated, priced and built, and ends with a clear recommendation. It’s a working definition, not a binder: a formal business plan is added only when a venture needs one.
You fund the strategy, development and launch. You own the venture. The simplest structure.
You run the business. You pay part of the build in cash and the rest in shares, valued at the full price of the work.
We co-own it and run it together, 50/50 or 60/40, set by what each side puts in. Only for ventures we want to help operate.
We get paid for our work before we invest in anyone’s.
Building starts when the funding is in. We build in sections, starting with what we already have from OCTAVA Software and leaving new custom work for last. We partner on a few ventures, not most, and we don’t build for free in exchange for equity. Any partnership is decided after the Blueprint, once we both know what the venture is, what it costs and what each of us brings. A first conversation is never an offer.
An entrepreneur and business operator with more than two decades of building, managing and improving businesses from the inside out. She founded and runs CASAS Real Estate, an independent brokerage, where she oversees strategy, compliance, operations, property management, recruiting, finance and growth.
Her strength is seeing the whole business, not just the idea. At Venturing with You she leads the business side of each venture: finding the opportunity, challenging assumptions, defining what makes it commercially different, and deciding whether to build, revise, partner or stop.
Carlos turns an approved opportunity into a disciplined product and execution plan: what gets built, in what order, and how it reaches launch.
Then it did its job. A decision not to build is a good outcome when it prevents a larger, poor investment, and you keep everything the Blueprint produced.
On Pay to Build, you own the venture. Where OCTAVA Software reuses technology it already has, that part is licensed to the venture, and the Blueprint spells out which is which.
Only in Build for Equity or a Joint Venture, only after the Blueprint, and only when both sides bring real value. Our work is never free: what you don’t pay in cash, you pay in shares at the full price of the work.
Because a quote prices a guess. The Blueprint decides what should be built first, then prices that.
A few questions, two minutes. You’ll see whether a conversation makes sense, and we’ll read your answers before we ever talk. No price here: the Blueprint is where the real number comes from.
